Working with International National Trusts Organisation (INTO) and the Turathuna Foundation, Jerram Foundation has supported the installation of solar powered street lights in the courtyard of Al-Ghassania School and Al-Worksha Street in Homs, Syria.
Turathuna Foundation canvassed the local community to help decide where lighting would be most beneficial for their safety. The new lighting will make the streets accessible at nighttime and allow the playground to be more useful and, crucially, safer in the evenings. Lighting these spaces will also allow the school to become a more inspiring space for local young people.
